“OATBooster was such a key resource for me!”
When I decided to write the OAT in 2021, I knew that I would need as much help as I could find, seeing as I had finished my undergraduate studies in 2016—almost four years prior. I had taken other standardized tests before, but the OAT brought with it fresh and new obstacles (e.g. a quantitative reasoning section, a section dedicated to physics alone). I have always loved taking on challenges and this was one that I was excited to tackle. However, as I started studying and searched online for practice tests, it quickly became evident that there was not a lot of OAT-specific material available for exam-takers.
This is where OATBooster came in. Easily available online, they had material separated into several sections—just like that of the actual exam. There are practice tests, videos that explain key concepts, flashcards, and notes to help solidify concepts. As someone who learns by seeing information presented in different ways, I truly valued how all-encompassing OATBooster was. I especially appreciated their quantitative reasoning section (remembering log rules, fractions, and solving math problems felt like ancient skills at the time).
Flash forward to the present, I just found out that I had been accepted to optometry school (yay!). It took a lot of hard work and dedication, but having finished my first year now, I can say that it was all worth it. OATBooster played a large part in helping me achieve success on the OAT and I am sure that it will go on to help so many other optometry hopefuls out there. I highly recommend it!
