As a visual learner, the aesthetically pleasing user interface, note guides, and video illustrations were a HUGE factor that made DATBooster worth it for me.”

As someone who struggles with rote memorization, the idea of trying to learn the mass amount of Biology content via thousands of flashcards was extremely daunting. Biology was by far my worst subject when I began studying for the DAT (scoring a 350 on my very first practice test) and I knew that I would have to prioritize studying for this section over all others.

As a visual learner, the aesthetically pleasing user interface, note guides, and video illustrations were a HUGE factor that made DATBooster worth it for me. My favorite resources to use were the DATBooster Biology Cheat Sheets, because they contained so much high-yield information that was extremely digestible and easy to review. By practicing with Bio Bits and reading the in-depth explanations of the practice test questions, I definitely felt more confident in conquering the Biology section of the DAT, and achieved a subject score of 480 on the actual exam.

Aside from the Biology section, I would be remiss to not mention how DATBooster tackles the other subjects as well. Perceptual Ability tends to have quite a steep learning curve for everyone, but doing a small amount of questions daily from PATBooster’s generators helps to train your eye over time. I started with a solid foundation in both General Chemistry and Organic Chemistry, and found the practice question banks helpful in locking down the material. Additionally, using the DATBooster Mobile App allowed me to maximize my time by reviewing questions on my phone during commutes. Overall, I was most proud of how consistent my subject scores were across the board (520 AA / 520 TS / 530 PAT), with DATBooster preparing me very well for all of the categories on the DAT.

For everyone studying for the DAT, my advice would be to tailor the study schedule to fit your needs. The default study schedule provides a great baseline to cover all of the content, but make sure to give yourself more time to learn subjects that you may be less confident in. Additionally, do not be afraid to start doing practice tests, even if you feel like you do not know all of the content yet. Practice tests force active recall and concept application, allowing you to gauge whether or not you have truly mastered the content. You got this!
