“Without any connections in dentistry to guide me, Booster Prep also helped me navigate the dental school application process and decide where to apply.”
I decided to pursue dental school relatively late in my undergraduate career, in April of my junior year, which meant I had a very limited timeline to prepare for the DAT. I studied for just eight weeks, from mid-May to mid-July, while working to support myself and continuing to volunteer, and I only took the DAT once.
My highest initial practice score was a 19AA, but with Booster Prep’s structured and efficient resources, I steadily improved throughout my eight weeks of studying, eventually reaching a 23AA on my highest practice test and a 24AA on the actual DAT. I especially appreciated how comprehensive the materials were while still being manageable with a busy schedule; I could focus my time on the areas I needed to improve without feeling like I had to spend every waking hour studying. As someone without family members in dentistry or personal connections to guide me through the process, I also found Booster’s information about individual dental schools incredibly helpful when deciding where to apply.
Ultimately, Booster Prep’s efficient preparation helped me stay on my original timeline and go directly from undergraduate school to dental school without needing to take a gap year.
