One of the most intimidating aspects of the INBDE is how new the exam is.
When I began studying, I did not know what to expect regarding question style, answer choice format, difficulty, etc. There are several test preparation services out there, all of which were offering very different question formats, which furthered my stress. My dental school provided us free access to one of these and while it was good for review, I do not think it was representative of the real exam. I tried almost every resource available, and I honestly can say that the question style and content of INBDEBooster were best aligned with the actual exam.
When you make the decision on which program to use, I think it’s important to think about how you best study and learn the material. I like to watch videos to review the concept and use written notes when I return to study, so having video content and note sheets was very important to me. I also knew that I wanted to be able to do as many practice questions as I possibly could before exam day. INBDEBooster checked all of those boxes for me. The notes are awesome, and it seems they are the only ones that have detailed note sheets posted at the moment. I liked how they emphasized the high-yield topics without weighing you down with too much information. I also liked that INBDEBooster has its own video content in addition to the Mental Dental videos (which can be found free online).
At the end of the day, INBDEBooster provides you with way more bang for your buck than the other options. I wanted an easy-to-follow system that I could utilize when I had hours to sit down and study and when I had a few minutes here and there. I think that it is important to feel comfortable when you go into the test, and I was able to settle into the testing style very quickly, thanks to completing the question banks. I was one of the first to take the exam at my school, and this is what I have recommended to my classmates! Can’t say enough good things!
