Community College Coursework and Advanced Placement Credit:
AP Credit Accepted?
A maximum of 60 credit hours may be taken at a junior college. Up to 10 credits of AP/CLEP coursework is accepted. None of the specified courses may be taken on a pass/fail basis. All science courses must be in-person and only three other courses may be taken online.
Community College Coursework Accepted?

Minimum number of College Credit Hours required:

  • If an applicant does not have a bachelor's degree, they must have a minimum of 90 semester hours of college credit, which is to include all of our prerequisites. The applicant must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.60.

Required Shadowing Hours:

  • There is not a specific amount of hours required.

Letters of Recommendation: 

  • Three letters of recommendation to include at least one from a science faculty member the applicant has had; others can include additional faculty, coach if a collegiate athlete, work supervisor, optometrist, academic advisor, etc.
