    • 3-year Accelerated Program
  • Research
    • UNE’s College of Dental Medicine is one of the collaborators sharing a $4.4 million grant from the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research (NIDCR) to launch the Collaborative Clinical Practice-based Research Program for Dental Schools
    • Students can participate in research under focus areas which include: Oral Disease Prevention, Health Professions Education, Healthcare Delivery/Clinical Practice Models, and Population Health (Public Health)

2. Clinical Experiences

  • Clinical Curriculum Overview
    • D1-D2: Extensive hands-on dental simulation experience and biomedical science courses. Students begin providing limited patient care during D2.
    • D3: Students provide comprehensive patient care. 
    • D4: Students focus on clinical practice at the UNE Oral Health Center. D4s must complete a 12-week externship rotation at a community based clinical site in Northern New England.
